Impact Crushers

Impact Crushers

Impact Crushing was used extensively after WWII in Germany, to crush the concrete that was in abundance from bombed buildings. The product was then used again as an aggregate to rebuild cities, houses and roads. This concept was then adapted and improved over many years and is used successfully in the Mining and Aggregate industries throughout the world as well as in South Africa.

Thus, Impact crushers have been around for many years and have steadily grown in popularity, as many people begin to see the advantages of using Impact Crushers. The Impact Crushers are usually less expensive, relative to the capacity of the Impact Crushers. The Reduction ratios of the Impact Crusher is also very high, often allowing the end user to reduce the number of Crushing Stages required, compared to conventional crushers. This allows very simple and less complex plant layout and thus lower capital outlay.

The product shape is usually very cubical in shape and thus makes the product more desirable, especially in the construction where cubicity of the product allows for greater concrete strength.

The overall mass of the Impact Crusher is substantially less than conventional crushers, thus they do not require extremely heavy Foundations or support structures. Out of Balances forces are also non-existent which further makes the Impact Crusher a very stable Crusher. Impact Crusher also does not require elaborate lubrication systems as they only require daily greasing of Bearings. An Impact Crushers are also well balanced in the Factory, thus there is very little vibration transferred `into the support structures.

Most often, the material product size can be regulated by the speed of the Impact Crusher as well as the type of material being crushed. Should the material change or the final product demand change, the Impact Crusher can accommodate these changes just by changing the rotational speed of the Internal Rotor.
